About
Brought up in Salisbury, Michele White is a professional artist now based in Twyford near Winchester.
Self taught (confessing she is no photographer) she paints from her own photos using fine layers of oils to create a modern style of classic painting.
With real depth and emotion, her work has been compared to that of her own fine art heroes.
“I come from a background of technical draughtsmen so the challenge for me is to create photo realistic work without losing the personality or mood of the subject.
I use thin glazes of oil paint to create depth and velocity which bring my paintings to life. They take months (and on occasion, years) to create as I wait for each layer to dry before I continue working on them - you really have to see them to fully appreciate the presence they radiate ... apparently they are ‘on another level’ ... or so I am told”.

Her work can be purchased privately.
